In a remarkable appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, the largest podcast globally, FBI Director Kash Patel hinted at a significant update regarding the investigation into former NIH Director Anthony Fauci, who was in charge of the lockdowns and the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
For context, Fauci has been subjected to intense criticism from conservatives due to his perceived short-sighted policies and alleged bias in his decision-making. Despite Fauci’s assertions, many have questioned his motivations, and even after numerous hearings, the health leader has remained elusive.
This was evident when Kash Patel conversed with podcaster Joe Rogan on June 6, 2025. He stated, “I mean, we just had a great breakthrough this week on Fauci. So Senator Rand Paul, Senator Kennedy, and I hate to name names, because I tend to forget, but people are doing a great job with us on COVID origins, and we’ve got multiple investigations open on that.”
Continuing his explanation, he remarked, “They had always been searching for Fauci’s original phone, or rather, the phones and devices he utilized while he was Fauci back during Trump’s first term amid COVID, and nobody had located it until two days ago, really. Yeah. Now look at your audience, and everyone listening to him should jump to the conclusion.
Emphasizing the significance, the FBI director stated, “Everything is included. We will examine it, extract it, and analyze it, as we say, and it may have been deleted. It may not have been, but at the very least, we have located it, and now we can inform the American public that we have been investigating because it is crucial to determine whether that individual was dishonest?”
Providing further insights, Patel elaborated on Fauci’s culpability, asserting, “Did he deliberately mislead the global community and create numerous obligations? We owe those answers to the American public, and the most compelling evidence is always the evidence provided by the people who generated it.”
In conclusion, he remarked, “Therefore, we are now going to analyze those hard drives. Nevertheless, I believe that a triumph for the American populace, which we accomplished by breaking away from Congress, is that we have indeed discovered it. Our work is not finished.
