In a striking appearance on Fox News, Attorney General Pam Bondi suggested that she might pursue charges against Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) for the disparaging comments she made regarding former Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) head Elon Musk.
As previously reported, Crockett made her initial statements during a nationwide call with the far-left organization “Tesla Takedown,” which characterizes itself as a “peaceful protest platform” despite its connections to violent protests and acts of vandalism.
While addressing the gathered activists, Rep. Crockett expressed her desire for Elon to be “taken down,” a statement that many observers interpreted as a direct threat of violence. In her remarks threatening Musk, Crockett stated, “On March 29, it’s my birthday. All I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down.”
Beginning her address, the attorney general remarked, “You know, after she made that statement about Elon, she claimed, ‘Well, I didn’t mean violence,’ but your words carry consequences. And what transpired after her comments about Elon Musk, she’s a Texan in her own home state.”
After stating, “This morning, three explosive devices were found in Austin, Texas,” she emphasized the need for an unequivocal denunciation of violence. She insisted on an immediate apology, not only to all Texans but also to our nation and to the American shareholders of Tesla, as she is inciting violence.”
Outlining her argument, Bondi stated, “And then you shared the clip of what she said about Senator Cruz; I believe she will likely face censure from Congress for her remarks. It seems that people do not learn; she is utilizing her public persona and platform to grow her followers and enhance her significance, while simultaneously threatening public safety.”
In conclusion, she remarked, “You know, when she did this at Tesla… people’s lives are at risk. This is America. We live in a free country, and she is still promoting this violence in our nation. Consider all the lives that could have been endangered in Texas today due to her words and actions.
In the comments section beneath a clip of the segment shared on X, numerous conservatives expressed their views. One extensive comment praised Musk’s contributions to the nation, stating, “Elon Musk’s unwavering commitment to revealing government waste and corruption positions him as a primary target for irrational attacks. The incident in Austin highlights the risks associated with irresponsible rhetoric from politicians who favor theatrics over accountability.”
Furthermore, the same commenter added, “As career bureaucrats divert billions into DEI spectacles, transgender performances, and Afghan poppy cultivation, Musk’s initiatives at the Department of Government Efficiency have recovered $1.9 billion in misappropriated taxpayer money. Genuine leadership necessitates confronting the swamp—not supporting its violent extremes.”
