Libs of TikTok has uncovered a remarkable revelation that may result in New York Attorney General Letitia James facing legal repercussions for her noncompliance with Trump’s executive orders prohibiting transgender surgeries for minors. In spite of Trump’s decisive measures to terminate these surgeries, Letitia James continues to inform minors of their entitlement to elective transgender surgeries.
To provide context, Letitia James is known for her strong advocacy for LGBTQ rights and has cautioned hospitals within her jurisdiction that suspending ‘gender-affirming’ care in light of Trump’s executive order could infringe upon New York’s anti-discrimination statutes. James further stated, “If you are under 16, a medical professional must provide documentation confirming that it is medically necessary, that you qualify for the treatment, and that you have met other prerequisites, such as evidence that you comprehend the outcomes, benefits, and risks of initiating hormone therapy, as well as having the requisite psychological and social support and prior approval from your health insurance provider.”
